Osprey - Harris Park - Revisited

After birding around the Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge stopped at Harris Park in Cayuga NY. Two ospreys were on the nest adjacent to the Town Office building. But as I drove into the parking a fisherman also drove in and the birds flew off.

But as I was leaving one Osprey returned to a pole in the park with a fish in its talons. Spent around 20 minutes watching the bird have lunch before it took off.

William H. Seward

On Wednesday morning, April 9, 2014, a sign was hung from the arm of the William H. Seward statue in Seward Park in Auburn, NY. The sign refers to a dispute behind the removal of a valuable and historic painting from the Seward House Museum.

The Auburn Police Department reported that it had not received a complaint about the sign, but the APD stated that this type of activity could lead to a charge of trespassing.
