William H. Seward

On Wednesday morning, April 9, 2014, a sign was hung from the arm of the William H. Seward statue in Seward Park in Auburn, NY. The sign refers to a dispute behind the removal of a valuable and historic painting from the Seward House Museum.

The Auburn Police Department reported that it had not received a complaint about the sign, but the APD stated that this type of activity could lead to a charge of trespassing.
